Continous Call for Proposal (News)
A PDF version of this call can be downloaded here.
Context
In addition to this role in gathering and sharing data and knowledge about bicycle, the Observatoire du vélo also aims to promote, enhance and popularize bicycle-related scientific research in Quebec and Canada. Researchers, students and mobility professionals are then invited to publish short articles presenting their research results in our “News” section.
Description of deliverables
We are looking for short articles or blog posts popularizing the results of ongoing or completed research, in fields developed by the Observatoire du vélo.
These posts are intended for a non-specialist audience (citizens, professionals in mobility, journalists, governments), living mainly in Quebec. Ultimately, the Observatoire aims to position itself as a leading reference in Canada and North America on active mobility by bicycle.
Research fields and topics
Any research studying the bicycle as a mean of transportation, as a recreational or touristic activity and its impacts on individuals and society.
No limit is set on the publication date of the original research as long as the results are still relevant today. Similarly, unpublished works (e.g. master thesis) are also accepted.
Authors
Researchers, students of all levels, professionals in mobility
Article language
French and/or English
As the Observatoire operates in both languages, articles will be translated. There are two options for this: (1) you provide us with a translated version of your text, or (2) we provide a translation that you can review and approve or edit before publication.
Schedule, procedure and contact
This is a continuous call for proposals.
To be published, articles must meet certain technical specifications. Thus, the template (English/French) provided is to be completed and sent to the Observatoire's e-mail address (observatoire@velo.qc.ca).
If you have any question regarding this call for proposals, please contact us at this address.
